Many small business owners understand their business very well and do a great job but do not understand their finances and are not able to properly evaluate their financial results and profitability. We can help you put the pieces together and fully understand where your money is coming from and where it's going.

• Ask yourself these questions:
• Are you working hard but can't understand why you don't have more cash?
• Are you surprised when your CPA does your tax return and delivers the bad news?
• Are you thinking of buying another business and need to verify their financial information and provide forecasts and financial statements to a bank for financing?
• Are you reviewing a monthly financial statement to understand your business results and to properly react and make any necessary changes to improve those results?
• Have you evaluated the profitability of various services you provide and customers that you service? Unprofitable services or customers may be hidden among those that produce an adequate profit. It may be time to raise prices on a service or a customer or to terminate unprofitable services or customers. It's the hardest thing to do but is sometimes absolutely necessary.
• Is your CPA charging you high hourly rates to fix your financial records so they can prepare reviews or tax returns? Provide good financial records and let your CPA efficiently do the valuable services you hire them for.

While we will do your bookkeeping for you, our goal is to assist you in doing as much as possible on your own, as time permits, in order to reduce your cost for outside consultants. 

I can do as little as a few hours per week or be a controller or CFO to rent for as much time as your business needs. Many businesses are not large enough to support having someone in such a position on a full time basis.

The cost for my services depends on the type of work being performed and the frequency and regularity.  Ongoing services will be priced at a rate per hour less than one time services.  The cost is an investment to better understanding your finances and profitability of products and services.  We will discuss specific pricing during a free in person or online consultation.

Of course you can do your own accounting and financial analysis but first you must have a good understanding of bookkeeping and know the right questions to ask.  Financial analysis involves having accurate financial records, reconciling accounts monthly and understanding how to associate costs with products and services and what factors are affecting your cash flow.  The right assistance can enlighten you as to why you are not making more profit and why after working so hard there is little left in the balance sheet.

Good records can also help reduce the preparation cost and save you on taxes when your CPA does your income tax return.
